Give Money

Give to Worthy Cause

Making and saving money are great first steps toward freedom in life and having the ability to choose. However, at some point it will be time for you to give back to the community, the environment, or to some other worthy cause that is important to you.

What We Have Done For Ourselves Alone Dies With Us; What We Have Done For Others And The World Remains And Is Immortal – Albert Pike

You can give many different ways, though we’ll focus on two primary ways which are money and time.

As far as giving money, spend time thinking about what is important to you, the causes that are near-and-dear to your heart. Exactly how much and how often you give is up to you. Just make sure you give; it does not have to be a lot or even regular, just do the best you can.

Worthy places of monetary donations include: -

  • Local childrens home
  • Childrens hospitals
  • Local charities
  • Gloabal charities such as the American Red Cross
  • Medical research organizations such as the National Cancer Research.
  • Kiva.org

These are some just some ideas, you may have many more.

Give Regularly

In order to develop a habit of giving to your favorite charity or cause, you can earmark x% of your income each month and then either distribute each month or on a periodic basis. Once again, exactly how much you should give or put aside is totally up to you. Beware though, if you plan on giving on a periodic basis spanning more than a month, do not dip into the account for other “emergencies”. There will always be emergencies!

Do not feel like you have to wait a certain time before you give. When you come across something in which monetary input from you would be truly beneficial to someone else, then do it. There is tremendous power in random acts of kindness!

Something else that is just as good as giving or donating money is… your time! If you don’t have money or you don’t feel like monetary contributions are appropriate, then just volunteer your time. You can volunteer at: -

  • Local community service organizations
  • Local youth sports
  • Local hospitals
  • Local charity organizations

Once again, you may have many more ideas. Just do what feels comfortable to you.

Giving Money and Time Habits

There are 2 habits in this part of the framework: -

  1. Serve Others.
  2. Be Charitable.

Give money or give up your time to a worth cause, and feel great about it!
