Make Money

Money is Key, Whether You Like It or Not

Based on the PLAN-MAKE-SAVE-GIVE-LIVE framework, making money is a fundamental part of being free; of having the ability to choose what you do want to do.

Money is simply a mechanism by which an exchange of goods or services takes place. The more value you provide in the goods that you sell or services that you provide the more money you can command.

There is no topic that is more exciting, stimulating, thrilling, and more intense than money! At the same time, it is also one of those subjects where most people, at some point in their lives, will have stretched the truth as far as how much money they have (or don’t have), how much they make, how much they save, and how much they spend.

Money Is Not Evil

There are a lot of people that will argue that money is not important, it is evil, and that they do not need money. We have all heard phrases such as: -

  • Money is the root of all evil
  • Money is not everything
  • Money cannot buy love or happiness

These statements are true to an extent, no arguments there. However, everyone needs and wants money. Money is needed for the most basic of human needs – shelter and food. Money is also needed to pay for gas and clothes.

So let’s agree on one thing – everybody needs money whether they admit it or not. From this point of view then, the question is not really if you need money or not, but more “how do I best make money”?

We do not condone get-rich quick schemes or the notion of passive income – income for which you do not have to work. We do however, strongly support the idea of residual income – income that that you (or someone that you designate) to setup and maintain.

Multiple Ways To Make Money

There are a number of different ways that you can make money.

  1. By working at a job. A lot of “make money now” gurus will advise people to leave their job and start a business. This is BAD advice. Unless you have a solid business plan and significant cash reserves, do not leave your job.
  2. By starting a business. Ultimately, you will want to think about either starting or expanding your business. It has been proven over and over, than owning and operating a business will ultimately provide the most freedom for you to do the things that are important in your life. The things that matter to you.
  3. By working and running a business on a part-time basis. This is a hybrid of the above two and can work extremely well.

Making Money Success Habits

There are 3 habits that you should master when it comes to making money: -

  1. Develop Multiple Streams of Income.
  2. Use Leverage.
  3. Manage Risks.

Everybody needs to be adept at making and managing money.
