Safety of H1N1 Once Again Questioned

“In Markham, Ontario, Canada last month, two Canadians were diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, which paralyzes your body, after receiving the H1N1 Swine flu shot, according to the Toronto Sun.”

“Both victims are healthy, have identical vaccination records and have no prior history of illnesses. Hartlen and Gibson are on their own because not one doctor will discuss the possibility that the H1N1 shot caused GBS and Quebec is the only province with a no-fault compensation program.” – http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/286840

It is really sad to read and hear about such stories, and I’m sure there a lot more H1N1 vaccination incidents that go unreported.

Is H1N1 Vaccination Needed? Is It Safe?

Every time I go to the doctor’s office, I hear about how important it is to get H1N1 shots, even more so than regular flu shots. So I decided to ask my doctor about it. I remain unconvinced about the safety or the need for H1N1.

Pure Profit Motive Behind H1N1?

It seems that the H1N1 is no worse than regular flu that most people experience each flu season. So why the big fanfare? I know that there many conspiracy theories about many different things. The one concerning H1N1 is that the big pharmaceutical companies have an excess inventory of vaccinations and they are promoting it by instilling fear in the general public. The reason for the manufacture of the vaccine in the first place has a pure profit motive.

We have to take these theories with a “grain of salt” but what if it is true? I don’t see much evidence out there that it is not. Scary stuff.

I can safely say we won’t be visiting our neighborhood H1N1 vaccination center any time soon.
